The Vienna-based South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO) announced the winner of the 2024 Dr. Erhard Busek – SEEMO Award for Better Understanding in South East Europe.

The 2024 award ia presented to Nadežda Gaće, a distinguished Yugoslav and Serbian journalist. She worked as a columnist for the daily newspapers Borba, Naša borba, and Danas, and served as President of the Independent Journalists’ Association of Serbia from 2006 to 2010.

Between 2005 and 2020, she actively promoted regional cooperation among journalists throughout South East Europe. Within SEEMO, she played a key role in coordinating regional activities and fostering dialogue, professional exchange, and mutual understanding among media professionals across the region.
