WE PRESENT SOME OF JOURNALISTS AND MEDIA WORKERS WHO ARE OR HAVE BEEN IN JAIL

In May 2021 in Turkey 42 journalists and media workers are in prison according to Turkey Journalists’ Syndicate – TGS (Türkiye Gazeteciler Sendikası – TGS). According to Belarusian Association of Journalists – BAJ in 2020 in Belarus 480 detentions of journalists were recorded, there were 97 cases of journalists serving administrative arrests and also in 2020 journalists spent in total more than 1,200 days behind bars.
