18.05.2023 – Journalist Muhammed Yavaş Subjected to Assault for Political Reporting Ahead of Electron

Yavaş had expressed concern that the banners suggested voting for opposition candidates in the upcoming elections would be seen as supporting a banned terrorist group.

According to Yavaş, he was invited to a meeting, that allegedly ended up with a physical attack and death threats. Yavaş, who was not seriously injured, filed a criminal complaint following the incident.

The head of the ultra-right party allegedly accused Yavaş of provoking the incident. Yavaş denied these allegations.
