The trial before the Appellate Court is a prelude to the end of the trial of four former members of the Department of State during the time of the Serbian politician Slobodan Milosevic, accused of murdering Slavko Ćuruvija on 11 April 1999.
Eight years after the start of the trial, and 24 years after the murder of Slavko Ćuruvija, the Court of Appeal in Belgrade, acting on the appeals of the prosecutors and defense lawyers, opens a hearing that will last from 6 to 10 March 2023. The murder investigation lasted for 16 years.
Slavko Curuvija was founder of the newspaper Dnevni telegraf, Serbia and was the owner of the publishing company, which published several prominent Serbian print media.
